Have you heard kids today say “YOLO!”  This stands for You only live once.  With this way of thinking, I was pondering how this translate when calculating business risks.  Now, in January 2013, we are in the process of planning the year ahead of us.  What will take our business to the next level?  What will we accomplish during this year?  What is your formula for success?  How will you face your problems and move towards solutions?  What real value does your business provide to your customers?  Sometimes, it does take “20 seconds of courage” just to make that next move.  Even failure is not as bad as never trying.  To reach success, it takes knowledge, commitment, passion and courage to do what you need to do to move your business upwards and forwards.  Now, we’re not suggesting going over the deep end and risk your business reputation.  What we are suggesting is taking calculated business risks that have more than a 50/50 chance of moving you towards your set business goals.    It was Wayne Gretzky who said “You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.”  Go for it!
