Thinking on your feet

Life is a journey and as we get older and wiser, a key skill is to be able to Think on your feet!  What exactly does that mean?

For business purposes, certainly listening to your customers is key to be able to hear concerns, comments and any relevant feedback.  Problem solving and critical thinking is taking it to the next level.  When posed with a dilemma….what would you do?  A former colleague once told me that once you know where you are (point A) and where you want to be (point B), there are many different ways to get there…..like a five pronged fork with all pathways leading in the same direction.  Do you help your customers in that way?

From previous posts, I have written about how giving first helps to then create of culture of giving back…..like a boomerang.  One critical skill however in being successful is being able to think on your feet.  Given limited information and hearing the concerns of your customers, are you able to give several solutions to help?  These are the folks we want to surround ourselves with ….genius only matched by kindness.

Let us know what you think.  We are looking forward to hearing your thoughts about this.   As we become more and more connected through social media, whether it is Twitter, Facebook, or Linked In, we can see that it is truly inspiring what people have to offer when it come to critical thinking.   The public is demanding it more and more.   Can you supply this kind of demand?

To that end, what happens when you partner with people/companies who have the same philosophy?  This is when it gets even better!  When you can bounce off ideas and strategies with critical thinkers and have those crucial conversations, you are not only adapting to your environment, you are thriving!
